Wake Up and Smell.....The Fluoride
Springville Money Saver (NY)

You all know the Village of Springville adds sodium fluoride to the municipal water. Fluoride has been added to the water for quite some time in this
community and in communities all across the country. We have been told that it is for our benefit, that it promotes healthy teeth. This is the entire
basis of the addition of this bio-active chemical to our water at a cost to the community of thousands of dollars per year.
 
I spoke with Mr. David Sullivan, who oversees the fluoridation program here and he is totally in favor of the continued dumping of sodium fluoride
into our water believing with no hesitation that it provides a public health benefit. He and his team make sure the water is maintained with a 0.8 - 1.2 ppm
concentration level in our water by adding the sodium fluoride crystals purchased by the Village directly into the water supply.  Our Village leaders, 
those elected to represent our will in the Village, must also be comfortable and supportive of the continued use of fluoride in the water as it has not
been questioned in any way by them.
 
What you probably do not know is that many communities across North America have decided, through public pressure, to discontinue the practice of
adding fluoride to their public water. 97% of Western European nations have chosen fluoride free water citing it as a public health hazard or at least
ineffective in its claimed benefit to oral health. What you probably don't know is that there is a strong and informed and passionate movement dedicated
to fighting the use of fluoride in public water. I have for many years questioned this practice and have become convinced that it is detrimental to our
health and to the health of our eco system.  I have come to the point, after much research that I must, in good conscience stand in opposition to the
continued fluoridation of our precious water.
 
The fluoride which is added to the water is not the kind of fluoride which occurs naturally in nature. It is the by-product of various industrial processes
such as the mining of phosphates and the manufacture of aluminum. The Phosphate deposits found in nature have a fluoride contamination. The fluoride
present in this material is undesirable in the final product so sulfuric acid is used to drive out the fluoride converting it into a gaseous form. Previously
it was just blown out of the smokestacks of the processing plants but after realizing that the crops of nearby farms were being killed by the fallout - 
this practice was prohibited. In reaction, the companies developed and installed water scrubbing systems to "catch" the fluoride and remove it from their
emissions. The crystalline fluoride recovered in this process is one of the sources of the commercial fluoride used by municipalities to "treat" their water. 
It is classified as "hazardous waste".  It is a common ingredient in rat and cockroach poison.
 
Hundreds of studies have been conducted in which fluoride has been shown to diminish I.Q. It is linked to bone cancer and thyroid gland problems.
The National research council (NRC) has stated that fluoride can "damage the brain" It diminishes bone strength and increases the risk of bone fracture.
It is represents a risk to the kidneys as it is very difficult to eliminate. The chemicals used to deliver fluoride into the water such as sodium fluoride are
hazardous industrial waste products. It is documented that the Nazis added it to the water in concentration camps as it made the inmates more docile and
thus fewer guards were needed to manage them. The benefits to dental health have been greatly exaggerated. 
There is no difference in tooth decay between fluoridated and unfluoridated countries and cavities do not increase when fluoridation stops. 
 
Fluoridated water is no longer recommended for babies. In 2006 even the ADA advised parents that they should avoid giving fluoride to babies.
Other statements have now indicated that it should be avoided for any child under 6 years old. Babies exposed to fluoride have a high risk of developing
dental fluorosis a devastating tooth disease. Other tissues are also adversely affected. According to a review published by the medical journal The Lancet,
fluoride damages the developing brain causing learning deficits and reductions in intelligence.
 
Did you know that fluoride is the only substance added to the water that has nothing to do with water quality? It is added to the water as a delivery
mechanism to the bodies of people of a bio-active substance that is a known neurotoxin. It is forced medication - a medication not approved by the FDA
and one that has not been prescribed to individuals who have been evaluated to determine if it is needed. Germany does not permit water fluoridation due
to as their health ministry put it, "the problematic nature of compulsory medication".
 
Most of the fluoride in the water never hits a human mouth anyhow. It goes down the drain after a washing clothes or dishes or showers or watering the
lawn. Even if it really did benefit teeth, which is a very questionable postulation, is putting it in drinking water the best way to deliver it to teeth? 
Might the benefits be far outweighed by the risks to other body systems and tissues? If people want fluoride for their teeth they can administer it via
toothpaste, fluoride rinses or even drink fluoridated water. Is it right to force it on everyone through the water whether they want it or not? 
Is this something we really want to pay for through our taxes?
 
Don't take my word for any of this. Do your own research and form your own opinion. Just do a search on the internet for "fluoride in the water" or
something similar. Check out www.fluoridealert.org. There are organizations of dentists, doctors and scientists now vehemently lashing out against water
fluoridation. I know I won't let my daughter get anywhere near it. Doesn't it tell you something that with a recommended pea sized amount of fluoridated
toothpaste, it reads right on the tube if swallowed call poison control?
 
I think it's time we had a community discussion about this and see if we really want to continue with water fluoridation here in Springville.
We're called Springville because of our beautiful abundance of spring water. If we desire change we can bring it about. I think the time has come to
explore this issue in detail, inform ourselves completely and then democratically decide if we still want it rather than just continuing on year after year
ignoring the potential risks and the disturbing nature of the practice of forced medication.

Wyoming officials rip new state gun law

WARSAW - Former District Attorney Gerald Stout offered a biting criticism of the state's new firearms law on Tuesday.

"I've thought about my 20 years as district attorney in this county, and I've tried to think of one murder that was committed...
that would have been prevented by the NY Safe Act," he said, shortly before the Board of Supervisors approved a lengthy
resolution opposing the new law.

"I cannot think of one," Stout continued. "This act would have not affected the prosecution of any cases in this county in the
last 25 years now, and probably for many years prior to that. I'm not a fan of assault weapons being used by anybody except
law enforcement and the military, and by assault weapons I mean automatic weapons. I don't think the definition of an assault
weapon included in the SAFE Act is even relevant at all."

Stout's voice was among a stream of county officials speaking out.

The Board of Supervisors approved the resolution 1,511-88 in a weighted vote based on town populations. 
Its numbers included Stout, who was elected Orangeville town supervisor shortly after his retirement.

Supervisor James Fleischman of Java cast the only "no" vote.
"I'll be voting in the minority today," he said. "I think doing nothing on this is beyond comprehension."

The county's resolution opposes how the NY Safe Act was approved, along with many of its specific provisions.

Supervisors are specifically protesting the way the law was developed and voted upon quickly, with state legislators having
little time to actually read the initial proposal. They're also against provisions which limit magazine capacities to seven bullets
and require pistol permits to be recertified ever five years, among other new rules. 

"While there are some areas of the legislation that the Wyoming County Board of Supervisors finds encouraging, such as
addressing glaring shortcomings in the mental health system … by and large, we find the legislation does little more than
negatively impact lawful gun ownership."

Numerous supervisors spoke adamantly against the state's new law.

Supervisor Larry Rogers of Pike owns a semiautomatic .22 rifle and a .380 pistol among other firearms. 
The rifle uses a 10 round clip which is now illegal.

"I'm very, very sorry about the tragedies that happened in Connecticut and Webster," he said. "Our hearts go out to those families
who are grieving, but unfortunately my personal opinion is all the laws on the books in the world couldn't have prevented what happened,"
he said.

Rogers said he believes the NY SAFE Act was knee-jerk legislation which was rushed through, and violates the second amendment.

"As a (National Rifle Association) member and gun owner, I am now going to be considered a criminal under this new law in NY State,"
he said.

Supervisor Jerry Davis of Covington noted that nobody makes seven round clips, which essentially renders many semi-automatics useless.
He doubts such clips will be manufactured, and said he believes the new law is a "virtual confiscation."

Also speaking out against the new law were supervisors Douglas Copeland of Wethersfield, Douglas Patti of Attica, and Stephen Tarbell
of Castile.

All three are retired police officers. Copeland is a former Wyoming County undersheriff, while Patti had 35 years as a state corrections
officer and policeman, while Tarbell is a retired sheriff's investigator.

"It appears due process was totally ignored in passing this," Copeland said. "It does absolutely nothing to help the safety of our public.
We already have the toughest laws in the country, and this does nothing to really address the problem of mental health in our criminals."

Tarbell said he spent a 24-year career in law enforcement, and would never have fathomed how the law came about.

"We spent our career making sure we'd keep the criminals off the streets, and now I'm a criminal," he said.
"I have a weapon at home that I've used over the years since my retirement in 2002. I cannot even carry it now."

"Now I have illegal clips," he continued. "And I've had a pistol permit since 1979. What's going to stop a bad guy from going around
with a Glock with a 15-round clip, and I can't even carry my weapon anymore? I can't even protect my family and my friends or whatever,
so I'm totally against this. I think (the county's) resolution spelled out everything against this law. I think it hit everything."

Supervisor Joseph Kushner spoke from an economic perspective, noting the additional costs he said the NY SAFE act may incur for the county.

Sheriff Farris Heimann commended the board before they voted. He noted other counties are considering or have passed similar resolutions.
He thanked them for representing the people of the county, and said he's received numerous phone calls and e-mails on the issue.

"As we have said, while there are good points, the haste with which it was passed, the lack of response time... 
I strongly agree with those of you who have spoken out against this legislation and are pleased to see you are doing to represent 
the people of Wyoming County who elected you," Heimann said.

Fleischman - as the voice of dissent - said after the meeting that no law is perfect. 
He'd rather see action be taken and corrected if needed, instead of doing nothing, given the issue.

"Ninety percent of the folks in Wyoming County are opposed, but there is that 10 percent that believes something needs to be done," he said. 
"I felt their voice needed to be represented, and that's why I voted the way I did."

Chairman Douglas Berwanger of the Board of Supervisors, compared the situation to when he voted against an indoor smoking ban 10
years ago. He said he understood the health issues, but predicted at the time that the government would start trying to tell people what to eat.

He said that's come to pass, along with the firearms legislation. He understands terrible tragedies have occurred, 
but said he agrees with Stout in opposing the new law.

"Today we are having the govenment dictate to us what our diets should be," Berwanger said. 
"The next thing is questioning the second amendment. I just feel the government is getting too involved in everybody's pesonal lives."

Copies of the resolution will be sent to all the county's representatives, from President Barack Obama, to Gov. Andrew Cuomo,
to State Sen. Patrick Gallivan and Assemblyman David DiPietro.

 Agenda 21

You are about to read two brief reports written by FREE members regarding
NYSERDA's Regional Sustainability Development Plan meeting held on October 23rd, 2012 at NCCC. '
The topic of the meeting was Agenda 21-related projects. Read on!
 
The NWO comes to your backyard and pretends you invited them.  Communism is sweeping through this nation
under the guise of the environmental "save the earth" banner.  Regional appointed governments and their PR
groups have been tasked with implementing the worst facets of Agenda 21 while using such buzz terms as
"smart growth" and "sustainability" to deceive the citizenry.  Members of  WNY's FREE group learned this
first hand at last Tuesday's WNY Regional Sustainability Plan Meeting at Niagara County Community College.
The meeting, run by a local environmental group called Ecology and Energy, was funded by a grant from the
NYSERDA as part of Governor Cuomo's Cleaner, Greener Communities Program.'

The whole basis of this green agenda proceeds on the assumption that CO2 driven global warming is settled
science and, therefore, any reductions in energy use (CO2 emissions) is a step in the right direction.
To not be mistaken here, I for one, along with other FREE group members, am not against individuals being 
more efficient in their use of energy or the development of more 'sustainable' modes of living.  
However, what I (we) stand against is the centrally planned, bureaucratically appointed, failed Keynesian
model of implementation that will leave the taxpayers on the hook with insiders benefiting and will do
nothing to increase the standard of living in our community.  

To counter this maligned view with a more bottom-up free market approach, I offered two suggestions.  
First, in order to combat runaway inflation and a legal tender Federal Reserve Note that is unsustainable
in nature, I suggested that our region look to develop a sound/hard money alternative currency.  People can
then decide, along with businesses, how to transact.  We could do something similar to an Ithaca hour or 
get creative.  I will leave that to people smarter than me. I also suggested that we look to remove fluoride
from the drinking water in order to save vast amounts of public money. The emerging science clearly reveals
that fluoride offers zero benefits while introducing many detriments to one's'health, including lowered IQ
for infants and increased risk of many forms of cancer.  Part of living sustainable is being healthy and
having a government that spends its tax revenues wisely.  

It appears that we face an uphill battle here as the foundation of Agenda 21 has already been laid and the 
structure is being erected.  The working groups have already been assigned, the regional councils appointed,
and the projects already submitted.  I was told directly that we have little to no recourse if we wish to stop 
a project from moving forward.  There you have it, America.  You know not who the appointed officials are, why
they were appointed, or what they stand to gain, nor do you know any working group member or his/her motivations,
or even when these groups were assembled to hatch these plans.  This is all being done 'in plain sight' and 
with manufactured consent.  All they want you to do now is vote on which project gets your money and which one
doesn't,'not on whether or not this even "makes sense at all" or whether we should scrap this model all together.
Pavlov's dog only needs to salivate at the project he likes best.

Here is another FREE member's take on the meeting:

On October 23rd, a few of us attended a NYSERDA meeting about sustainable living held at NCCC in Niagara
Wheatfield. I would like to tell you a little bit about it. It is horrible how they are ramrodding legislation
through that will severely restrict our freedoms and luxuries in order to "be sustainable". These people are not
elected but appointed and they are creating restrictive laws right in our own backyards now - literally.

Agenda 21 proponents use the Delphi Method to steer people into believing that their agenda is the people's'
agenda. At the meeting, they laid out plan options for us and asked us to vote on them by level of importance
to our region. There were many people at the meeting who were opposed to the whole notion of NYSERDA because 
it is assumed by the options available (A,B,C,D or E) that we want any plan at all.

At one point, they showed a statistical pie chart of pollution due to greenhouse gases (GHG). The pie was divided 
by category of guilty polluters. The top two polluters by far were residential autos at thirty-six percent (36%)
and residential homes at thirty-five percent (35%). The other eight or so categories of transgressors were all around
five or six percent (5-6%) with industry coming in last at one percent (1%). I raised my hand and, when called upon,
said that the problem is evident and the solution is simple - first, get the cars off the street and then, kick the
people out of their homes. 

A more likely solution will be the restricted use of energy, or rationing. This is now remotely possible thanks to 
our new smart meters which can cut services by remote control. 

Near the end of the presentation, I said to the presenter that the polls taken so far have yet to address the real
issue. I then asked those in attendance by a show of hands how many would vote for dissolving NYSERDA's 
Regional'Sustainability Development Plan altogether. 
Twenty-five of thirty-six raised their hand. 
I looked at the facilitator and suggested she take that statistic back to her planners.

The Declaration of Independence
The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America
In Congress, JULY 4, 1776

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands
which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and
equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the
opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by
their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. 
That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men,
deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,
That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter
or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its
powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed,
will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and
accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than
to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and
usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, 
it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future
security. — Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which
constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain
is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute
Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance,
unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained;
and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people,
unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature,
a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository
of their Public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly,
for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected, whereby the Legislative
Powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining
in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for
Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither,
and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary Powers.

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone for the tenure of their offices,
and the amount and payment of their salaries.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices,
and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.

He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil Power.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution,
and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:

For protecting them,
by a mock Trial from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:

For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury:

For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:

For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an
Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example 
and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies

For taking away our Charters,
abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:

For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to
legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.

He has plundered our seas, ravaged our coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.

He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death,
desolation, and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & Perfidy 
scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.

He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country,
to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.

He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us,
and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages whose 
known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms:
Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus
marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our British brethren. 
We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable
jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here.
We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our
common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitably interrupt our connections and
correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. 
We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them,
as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled,
appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by
Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these united Colonies are,
and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States, that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the 
British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought
to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude
Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States
may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of 
Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.
